Woke up feeling slightly more refreshed than the past two weeks, loaded up on medications and drove to work with my freshly-rewired sound system bangin’ the beats, yo. Got to work, 1upped on coffee, and got to work feeling the best I’ve felt in weeks... for about two hours. Then I started getting stuffy, slowed down, bit of a headache, and got a sudden random nosebleed in a brand new 2016 Equinox. Luckily I avoided bleeding on the car. Annoyingly I bled all over myself. And that was the last symptom of Mono that I was lacking, I now have the full set and have captured all Pokemon. Looks like it’s gonna be a fairly miserable month as the cure for Mono is “wait”. Picture of the Equinox in question for your time. For some reason it is listed as “tan” in the system and I’m fairly certain someone here is blind.

Yes, fuck today because it’s been snowing all day and 1) I don’t have a snowbrush, it’s in my closet for some reason and 2) my summers are on and there’s at least 4 inches on the ground.

My youngest daughter (7) got strep throat AND mono a couple weeks ago. This past weekend we figured out that my older daughter (11) has strep, and today that I have strep. Plus, a plow truck just went by. So far, fuck the last 3 weeks of misery and not-sleeping kids!

Shitty. Hopefully it blows over soon. I swear half my shop (pretty sure I’m not exaggerating) has had either the flu, bronchitis, or pneumonia within the last month. Myself included. Was out for two weeks straight high on rx drugs the whole time. Not fun.

I don’t have any kind of sickness compensation right now so if I have to miss a week since I’m living paycheck to paycheck right now (fucking Mustang) my next few months are going to be even more screwed up than they are. Fortunately I have a job where nobody gives a shit what I do as long as an acceptable amount of work gets done so I’ve been taking naps in Silverado High Countries and range-topping Suburbans. Not a bad way to spend a catnap.

I know the feeling, definitely been there before. Luckily for me I have vacation time and my state just passed a law requiring employers to pay a certain amount of sick time separately from vacation.

Between my car wreck in January and the two days I took off a couple weeks ago for being sick I used up all of my paid sick leave :/
